San Mateo Square
Caceres
San Mateo Square is home to the iconic Church of San Mateo in Cáceres, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 16th-century Catholic church replaced a medieval church (possibly a mosque). It was a historic parish church and is still used for weekend masses and events, although its main function has shifted.
