House of the Mono
Caceres
The House of the Monkey, or Pizarro-Espadero House, is a 15th-century Gothic building in Cáceres. Famous for a monkey sculpture and the legends surrounding it, it was once a Fine Arts Museum and now houses the Alonso Zamora Vicente Library with 30,000 volumes. It is owned by the Provincial Council and forms part of the city's historic center.
