The Maltravieso Cave in Cáceres, Spain, is a prehistoric site with handprints. A recent study using uranium-thorium dating has established the age of one handprint at 66,700 years, suggesting that its creators were Neanderthals, since there is no evidence of Homo sapiens on the Iberian Peninsula during that period.
