The Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas, in Esgos (Ourense), is the oldest monastic complex in Galicia and a unique example of a rock-hewn church. Declared a National Historic Monument and a Site of Cultural Interest, it is one of the most important rock-hewn complexes on the Iberian Peninsula.
