Mosque of Christ of the Light
Toledo
The Mosque of Cristo de la Luz in Toledo, originally the Bab al-Mardum Mosque (999 AD), is the best-preserved mosque in the city. After the Christian conquest (12th century), Alfonso VI ceded it to the Order of Saint John, converting it into a hermitage with Mudéjar additions. It is a key historical and architectural building, currently deconsecrated.
