The Church and Convent of Santa Teresa in Ávila, Spain, was built in the early 17th century on the site of the birthplace of Saint Teresa of Ávila. This Baroque building, belonging to the Discalced Carmelites, is notable for its north-facing orientation, which places the apse in the saint's room.
