The Provincial Palace of Jaén, seat of the Provincial Council, is an eclectic 19th-century work by Jorge Porrua y Moreno. Built on the site of the former Convent of San Francisco, a residence of Ferdinand III, it is notable for its portal with semicircular arches, a monumental fountain in the courtyard, and a collection of paintings.
