Elvira Gate
Granada
The Elvira Gate was the main entrance to Granada during the Islamic period, built in the 11th century by the Zirid sultans. It formed part of the city wall and was transformed by Yusuf I. It has been a National Historic-Artistic Monument since 1896 and is referenced in Federico García Lorca's poetry collection Diván del Tamarit.
