Bishop's Arch

The Bishop's Arch, also known as the Arch of the People in Cádiz, was the original Sea Gate. Flanked by towers, a chapel was added in the 17th century, giving it the appearance of a passageway. Its construction reflects Islamic (10th-11th centuries) and Almohad (12th century) techniques, and it forms part of the city's original walled perimeter.
